A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of going into a local primary school and making ‘worry boxes’ with some of the children. We used a template to cut out the shape of the box and then joined the sides together to create a box. They then made a lid for the box and decorated the clay with shapes and stamps. They did really well.
The idea behind the worry boxes is that the children can write their worries down on a piece of paper and then place the piece of paper in the box. This is thought to help by removing the worry from their thoughts.
I took them back into the class for them to decorate, which they really seemed to enjoy.
